J.D. helped educate me on how a drug-free workplace program would function in our workplace. We had never had one prior to that. I was skeptical of another program that might be complicated and add more items to my plate. But it made a lot of sense to me, and it helped lower our workers’ comp expense by 5% of the premium! He set the entire program up by coming out to our business with the actual drug-free workplace programs, and he helped us establish clinics to send our employees to. Altogether, the missing credits have helped save our business 7% of our annual premiums, while making our workplace much safer.

Although I believed I had a good understanding of workers’ compensation, J.D. helped explain to me many of the intricacies of workers’ compensation in Florida. For example, although we had a small dividend plan included in our prior policy, the dividend program they presented through a local insurance carrier can provide returns of up to 54% of our annual premium this year. In addition, J.D. noticed that one of our claims, which had been closed out by the insurance carrier, was still listed as an open claim on the experience mod.
