Kevin helped educate me on how a drug-free workplace program would function in our workplace. We had never had one prior to that. I was skeptical of another program that might be complicated and add more items to my plate. But it made a lot of sense to me, and it helped lower our workers’ comp expense by 5% of the premium! He set the entire program up by coming out to our business with the actual drug-free workplace programs, and he helped us establish clinics to send our employees to. Although I believed I had a good understanding of workers’ compensation, Work Comp Specialists helped explain to me many of the intricacies of workers’ compensation in Florida. For example, although we had a small dividend plan included in our prior policy, the dividend program they presented through a local insurance carrier can provide returns of up to 54% of our annual premium this year.
